New: delete your order page after a swap

Every swap on Mistex gets an order page — the screen where you watch the deposit arrive, the exchange happen, and the payout land. Until today, that page simply stayed reachable at its link forever. Now it doesn't have to.

The button

Open any completed swap and you'll find a quiet new link under the summary: Delete order. Click it, confirm, and the order page is gone — the URL starts returning the same 404 as a link that never existed. No trace in the interface, nothing to stumble on later.

It works the same on the clearnet site and on our Tor mirror.

Why you might want this

Privacy hygiene is about narrowing what a link can reveal. An order page shows the pair, the amounts, the addresses, and the transaction hashes of a finished swap. There are plenty of ordinary reasons to not want that page to exist:

  • You checked the swap on a shared or borrowed device and the URL is sitting in its history.
  • You pasted the tracking link into a chat and the conversation outlived its purpose.
  • You simply prefer things that are finished to be gone.

Until now the answer was “the page stays up anyway.” Now the answer is one click.

What happens when you delete

The order becomes unavailable. Opening the link — for anyone, from anywhere — returns a plain “not found,” indistinguishable from a URL that never pointed to anything. There is no undo button, no “recently deleted” folder, no way to browse back to it. Once you confirm, that order is not part of the visible world anymore.

Direct users only

This one is exclusive to swaps created directly on the site — the classic Mistex flow where you open the exchange page, swap, and walk away without any account.

Orders that come through our partner integrations don't get the button, on either side: the partner doesn't get it, and it doesn't appear in their interfaces. Integrations follow their own flow with their own rules. If having this level of control over your orders matters to you, the direct way is the way.

The fine print

  • The button appears only on completed swaps. Active orders need their page — that's where you track the exchange, and where a refund would be arranged if something went wrong.
  • Knowing the link is what authorizes the deletion — the same way knowing the link is what shows you the page. Treat order links like the private things they are.

Takeaway

Your swap, your call. When a swap is done and you'd rather it not be one click away, make it not be. The button is live now on every completed order page — for everyone swapping directly on mistex.io.
